Paris – And The Hungry Lions

The train ride to Paris went as planned  but sleeping on the moving train, in the small bed and with our snoring bunk mates wasn’t easy. At 7am we where woken by what we later found out was the fire alarm, which went off for no apparent reason.
After we stored our stuff at the hostel,  we went to see the nearby Sacré-Cœur , which was almost as interesting as the ever lasting game of cat and mouse between police and illegal souvenir vendors. The rest of the day was planless walking around Paris, since we were tired and couldn’t decide what to do. The next day we went to the Louvre (which has an amazing amount of statues showing men that get bitten in their behind by lions – must have been a common problem at some time), to Notre Dame and to see the sunset from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Back at hostel we found out that I had lost (or gotten permanently lend) our only wine bottle opener the night before and went to bed sober.
